What is the difference between the Digital and traditional theory test?
The traditional theory test uses standard photographs, some of which are quite dated. The test involves answering Yes or No to 2-4 statements about each image. The test is shown on a screen/projector, and you mark your answers on a separate sheet. There are 25 images with questions, and the test moves quickly, so you need to stay focused.
The Digital test uses images and videos created in 3D. The images are clearer than the old photos, and they even include mirrors and a speedometer. You take the test on a touchscreen computer. The main difference from the traditional test is that instead of Yes/No answers, you simply select the correct statements. You have 25 minutes to complete 25 images with questions. You can navigate back and forth through the test and change your answers before submitting.
Can you get theory tests like the real one online?
The Transport Agency’s official theory test is secret – also for those who do theory tests online. Teoriundervisning.dk has conducted interviews with driving schools and students who have taken the official theory test since 2001. We continuously adapt our tests so that they match the official theory test images of the Danish Transport Agency, including the Digtale theory test!
What does it cost if you fail the theory test?
It’s really sad not to pass your theory test. You have to pay a new test fee of DKK 1,000 every time you fail the theory test. So it pays to practice really well!
Why is the theory test so difficult?
If the theory test was too easy, then everyone would pass, perhaps even without having understood important things in the traffic law. The official theory test is structured in legal language. Once you get the hang of how it works, it’s not that difficult 😉 At Teoriundervisning.dk, we teach you, among other things, about the theory test’s questioning technique, so that you are better prepared for the official theory test.

How many mistakes can you have in your theory test?
The theory test consists of 25 pictures/slides, and you must have a maximum of 5 mistakes. If you get more than 5 errors, you are dumped. For example, use Teoriundervisning.dk to avoid dumping your theory test.
